General Questions
What are the check-in and check-out times?
- RV Sites: Check-in is 2 p.m., and check-out is 1 p.m.
- Cabins: Check-in is 4 p.m., and check-out is 10 a.m. Cabin guests may park in the guest parking lot after check-out and enjoy resort amenities until 1 p.m.
What is your reservation and cancellation policy?
Reservations require a 50% deposit, with the balance automatically charged 30 days before arrival. Cancellations made 7+ days in advance will receive a full refund minus booking and processing fees. Cancellations made 1-6 days in advance will receive a camp credit valid for 1 year.
What are your office hours?
Our office does not have set hours. Management is typically on-site Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m., and available by phone at 910-595-4112. Tours are available by appointment—just give us a call!
Do you offer discounts?
- Military: 20% discount for active duty and retired military (valid ID required).
- Seniors: 10% discount for guests 62+ with valid ID.
Are you family-friendly?
Yes! Everyone is welcome as long as our courtesy guidelines are followed. Rates are based on 2 adults, and children under 18 stay free. Each site accommodates up to 8 people.
Is swimming allowed in the lakes?
Swimming is permitted only in the designated beach swimming area. Swimming is at your own risk. Swimming is not allowed in the White Oak River.
Are campfires allowed?
Yes, each site has a fire ring. Firewood bundles are sold at the reservation office. To protect our trees from beetle infestations, only NC firewood is permitted.
When is the pool open?
The pool is open from April 1 to October 31, weather permitting. Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Swimming is at your own risk, as lifeguards are not on duty.

The beach is open from April 1 to October 31, with hours from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. or sunset (whichever is earlier). Swimming is at your own risk.
Fishing Questions
Do I need a fishing license?
- Misty Morning & Cypress Lakes: Private lakes; no license required (catch-and-release only).
- White Oak Lake: Connected to the White Oak River; anyone over 16 must have a North Carolina fishing license. You may keep your catch in accordance with NC bag limits.
Do you sell day passes for fishing?
Fishing is exclusive to registered campers. If you’re interested in fishing, you may reserve an RV or tent site.
Can I fish at my lakeside site?
The height of the banks near lakeside sites makes fishing from those locations difficult, but there are plenty of other fishing areas throughout the property.
Do you have a boat ramp?
Yes, all three lakes have boat ramps for registered guests. Misty Morning and Cypress Lakes allow electric trolling motors only, while White Oak Lake/River permits gas motors.
Pet Questions
How many pets are allowed per site?
Guests may bring up to 3 dogs per RV site. Exotic animals are not permitted.
Do you have breed restrictions?
No, but pets must be friendly, well-behaved, leashed, and not left unattended.
What areas are pet-friendly?
Pets are welcome on the designated trail and in the open field. They are not allowed in public areas like the bathhouse, laundry, pavilion, pool, or beach.
Are pets allowed in the cabins?
Cabins 60 and 61 are pet-friendly (maximum of 2 dogs). Cats and other pets are not permitted. Pet fees apply, and pets may not be left unattended in cabins unless crated.
RV Site Questions
Do you offer long-term RV stays?
Yes, we offer annual and monthly site rentals. Monthly rates start at $700 and include water, internet, and garbage pickup. Electricity is billed separately. Annual sites also include concrete patios.
Are any RV sites shaded?
Yes, our preferred back-in sites provide afternoon shade.
Can I bring my own golf cart?
Guests may bring their own electric golf carts. Proof of liability insurance and a valid driver’s license are required. There is a one-time registration fee of $25 for stays less than 7 nights.
Do you have golf cart rentals?
Yes, electric golf cart rentals are available for $40 per day. Golf carts seat 4 people. Advanced reservations are recommended online or by phone at 910-595-4112.
Cabin Questions
How many people can sleep in a cabin?
Our lakefront cabins comfortably sleep 7 people. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed, the living room has a pull-out sectional, and the second bedroom varies by cabin:
- Standard 2-Bedroom Cabin: One bunk bed (full on the bottom, twin on top).
- 2-Bedroom Quad Bunk Cabin: Two bunk beds (four twin beds).
Rates are based on 2 adults, and children under 18 stay free.
Are linens provided?
Yes, all linens, pillows, and towels are provided. Please bring your own beach and pool towels.
Wildlife Questions
Is there wildlife on the property?
Yes, our serene setting attracts various wildlife. Guests often spot deer, bald eagles, and Canadian geese. Alligators inhabit White Oak Lake/River but are rarely seen in Misty Morning or Cypress Lakes. Please do not feed or approach wildlife, and take caution when allowing pets near White Oak Lake/River.
